Party Chief

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Party Chief / Field Technician to join our surveying team in Kissimmee, Florida. This position is responsible for performing accurate field measurements, managing survey tasks independently, and documenting site conditions with precision. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable working solo in the field, and capable of maintaining high-quality standards in fast-paced project environments.

Responsibilities

• Utilize GPS equipment and modern surveying instruments (Trimble, Leica, or similar) to gather accurate field data.

• Prepare clear field sketches, digital notes, and daily reports.

• Coordinate with office staff and project managers through mobile applications and cloud-based tools.

• Plan and execute daily workloads to support multiple active survey projects.

• Safely operate a company vehicle while adhering to traffic and safety regulations.

• Assist with additional field-related duties as workflow requires.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

• At least 6 months of hands-on experience using surveying instruments and processing field data.

• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, rain, uneven terrain, and other natural conditions.

• Ability to function independently during 10-hour field days (average 50 hours weekly).

• Strong attention to detail and solid verbal/written communication abilities.

• Background in residential or boundary surveying is beneficial.

Salary Range

• $21/hr – typically for candidates with around 1 year of Rodman/Instrument experience.

• $28/hr – typically for candidates with around 2 years of Party Chief experience.

• Overtime available (10-hour days common).

• Standard work hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work depending on project needs.
