Party Chief

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Party Chief / Field Survey Specialist to join our team in Davenport, Florida. This position is responsible for completing precise on-site surveys, managing field tasks independently, and ensuring accurate documentation for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate is self-directed, adaptable, and capable of delivering high-quality results while working alone in the field.

Responsibilities

• Use GPS units and modern surveying instruments (Trimble, Leica, or equivalent) to capture accurate field data.

• Create organized field records, sketches, and digital reports for each location.

• Communicate regularly with office staff using tablets, apps, and cloud-based systems.

• Plan daily assignments efficiently and support multiple ongoing survey projects.

• Safely operate and maintain a company-issued vehicle during field operations.

• Assist with general survey tasks or special project needs as directed.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license required.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• At least 6 months of survey instrument operation and field data experience.

• Able to work outdoors in Florida weather—heat, rain, uneven ground, and various field conditions.

• Comfortable working independently for long days (average 50 hours per week).

• Strong attention to detail with solid written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with residential or construction-related surveying is beneficial.

Salary Range

• $21/hr – typically for candidates with around 1 year of Rodman/Instrument experience.

• $28/hr – typically for candidates with around 2 years of Party Chief experience.

• Overtime available (10-hour workdays are common).

• Regular schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work as needed.
