Help Desk Support Specialist

The Help Desk Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring end users across the organization receive timely and effective technical assistance. This position supports a wide range of IT needs—from resolving common desktop issues to maintaining software performance and assisting with hardware troubleshooting—both in the office and on the production floor.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the manufacturing and industrial solutions industry. Responsibilities

  • Respond to help desk tickets via phone, email, and ticketing system with a focus on fast, friendly support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, and permissions using Active Directory

  • Install and configure operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and other company software

  • Document support procedures and maintain accurate records of user issues and resolutions

  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes including equipment setup and configuration

  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems

  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and support VPN and remote access


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience in a help desk, IT support, or desktop technician role

  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and help desk software

  • Basic understanding of networking, user permissions, and remote support tools

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic support environment

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft are a plus

Salary Range

$46,000 – $60,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical proficiency.
