This position is responsible for managing and optimizing an organization’s data network infrastructure. You’ll configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls, while ensuring seamless connectivity, reliability, and performance across local and wide area networks. Collaboration with IT teammates and vendors will be key as you work to troubleshoot issues and implement necessary upgrades.
You will also monitor network health, analyze traffic for potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, and assist team members in resolving connectivity challenges. Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices will help support continuous improvement and resilience.
Responsibilities

Configure, install, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls

Monitor network performance and proactively diagnose and address service disruptions

Troubleshoot connectivity issues and support end-users as needed

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on network upgrades and enhancements

Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and records of configuration changes

Implement backup and redundancy plans to ensure network availability

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing enterprise network environments (LAN/WAN)

Proficiency with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and protocols

Salary Range
The annual compensation for this role is typically between $77,000 and $128,000, adjusted for experience and specialized expertise.
