Senior IT Support Specialist

The Senior IT Support Specialist takes ownership of complex technical issues and plays a leadership role in the delivery of IT support across the organization. You’ll handle escalated support cases, oversee critical system troubleshooting, and mentor junior team members while ensuring high availability and reliability of user-facing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve advanced hardware, software, and network issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for system outages and high-priority incidents

  • Provide technical guidance to junior IT staff and assist in training efforts

  • Manage Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security across user environments

  • Coordinate IT support efforts across departments and contribute to project implementation

  • Develop and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge base

  • Participate in IT audits, security reviews, and compliance initiatives

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to improve systems and user experience


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • 4–6 years of IT support experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or advanced role

  • Strong proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security practices, and remote support tools

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or ITIL are preferred

Salary Range

$70,000 – $88,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and leadership capabilities.
