Network Support Technician

As a Network Support Technician, your primary focus is maintaining and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. You’ll monitor network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and assist with installations and configurations of routers, switches, and firewalls.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the telecommunications industry. It’s an excellent role for someone with a strong interest in network operations and infrastructure, looking to grow their skills in a hands-on, technically focused environment. You’ll work closely with network engineers and IT teams to maintain a reliable and secure infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security across LAN/WAN environments

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware and software

• Support VPN, VoIP, and remote access technologies

• Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions in ticketing and knowledge base systems

• Collaborate with other IT teams to support system upgrades and network expansions

• Conduct routine maintenance and assist in implementing patches and firmware updates

• Escalate critical or unresolved issues to senior network engineers

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 1–3 years of experience in IT or network support roles

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall principles

• Familiarity with Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar networking equipment

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are highly preferred

Salary Range

$52,000 – $68,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical skill set.
