A Network Operations Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of an organization’s network infrastructure. This position involves overseeing daily network operations, monitoring performance, and addressing technical issues to maintain optimal connectivity and service availability.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing network hardware, software, and protocols, while collaborating with IT teams to implement upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system performance. Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime

Configure and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

Respond to and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance issues promptly

Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems

Manage and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network upgrades and support

Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery planning

Analyze network traffic patterns to identify and address bottlenecks or vulnerabilities

Support the implementation of new network technologies and infrastructure improvements
Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Proven experience in network administration or operations support

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network routing protocols

Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and wireless network management

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar preferred
