Network Administrator

This role is vital to the smooth operation of an organization’s IT network infrastructure. You’ll work to ensure connectivity, performance, and security across local or wide‑area networks, collaborating closely with other IT professionals to support business continuity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues

  • Implement network security measures and conduct vulnerability assessments

  • Manage user access, permissions, and network documentation

  • Perform routine network backups and recovery procedures

  • Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and industry best practices

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed

  • Collaborate with IT team members to align network operations with business goals

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in network administration or a related IT role

  • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs

  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools

  • Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and best security practices

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+, CCNA) preferred

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in fast‑paced settings

Salary Range

Salaries typically fall between approximately $65,500 and $93,500 annually, adjusting based on experience, location, and technical specialization.
