Multi-Site Network Administrator

A Multi-Site Network Administrator oversees and maintains the IT infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and optimal performance of network systems. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with on-site and remote teams.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams, the Multi-Site Network Administrator ensures network reliability, manages upgrades, and implements preventative measures to reduce downtime. The position involves both strategic planning and hands-on technical work to keep systems efficient and secure.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple sites

• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems

• Ensure network security through updates, patches, and intrusion prevention measures

• Oversee VPN connectivity and remote access for employees

• Coordinate with on-site and remote staff to resolve network issues promptly

• Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions

• Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes

• Conduct regular system performance reviews and capacity planning

• Collaborate with vendors for hardware, software, and support services

• Provide end-user training and technical support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years of network administration experience, preferably in a multi-site environment

• Proficiency with network hardware, protocols, and security systems

• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking equipment

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs

• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure setups

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent preferred

Salary Range

$65,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.
