The IT User Support Specialist is a critical resource for employees needing technical assistance with their daily tools and systems. You’ll provide direct support to end users by resolving hardware, software, and access issues, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operation of essential services.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software applications, Windows OS, and Microsoft 365

Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions in Active Directory

Document and manage support requests through a ticketing system

Support audio/visual setups for meetings, presentations, and remote sessions

Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams and follow up to ensure resolution

Maintain accurate IT documentation and assist with inventory tracking

Educate users on system features, security policies, and technology best practices
Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

1–3 years of experience in a help desk or user support role

Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business applications

Familiarity with Active Directory, networking basics, and remote support tools

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to handle multiple support requests in a timely and professional manner

IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus

Salary Range
$50,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical skill set.
