IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end users, ensuring hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently and securely. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting desktop issues, managing user accounts, and resolving technical incidents—both remotely and on-site.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in IT support, excellent communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, network connectivity, and user access

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications

  • Manage Active Directory accounts, group policies, and permissions

  • Document support requests, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees

  • Support IT infrastructure initiatives, including system upgrades and maintenance

  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance standards


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help desk role

  • Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and remote desktop tools

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, basic networking, and endpoint security

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP are a plus

Salary Range

$48,000 – $62,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical skill level.
