IT Support Administrator

The IT Support Administrator manages the day-to-day technology needs of the organization, ensuring reliable access to systems, software, and networks across teams. You’ll take ownership of user support, system configuration, and IT asset management, serving as a critical point of contact for both technical issues and routine system administration tasks.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the architecture and urban planning industry. It’s an excellent fit for someone with a well-rounded IT background who enjoys a mix of user support and behind-the-scenes systems work. The role offers a balance between hands-on troubleshooting and administrative oversight of core IT functions.


Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory

  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software across office environments

  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and standard business applications

  • Monitor system performance and handle patch management and software updates

  • Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and asset tracking systems

  • Assist with backup management, basic networking, and security protocols

  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration roles

  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and basic networking

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and system monitoring tools

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize support needs

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus

Salary Range

$56,000 – $72,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and system administration skills.
