IT Service Desk Technician

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktop computers, mobile devices, printers, and basic network connectivity

  • Respond to and manage support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system

  • Assist with account management, software installations, and system configurations

  • Troubleshoot issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and VPN access

  • Document problems, solutions, and procedures in the help desk knowledge base

  • Help onboard and offboard employees, including hardware setup and access provisioning

  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level IT staff and track progress through resolution

  • Ensure adherence to company security protocols and IT policies


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience in a help desk or service desk environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and remote support tools

  • Basic understanding of networking, Active Directory, and endpoint security

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple support tickets efficiently

  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus

Salary Range

$48,000 – $62,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical skill level.
