IT Operations Support Specialist

The IT Operations Support Specialist ensures smooth day-to-day technology operations by monitoring systems, supporting end users, and resolving technical issues that impact business functions. This role blends traditional help desk responsibilities with system monitoring and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both user interaction and backend troubleshooting.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the logistics and distribution industry. It’s a great fit for someone with a strong technical foundation who wants to work in a high-uptime, performance-driven environment. You’ll support key business systems and IT infrastructure while gaining experience with tools used in enterprise operations.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues affecting users and systems

  • Monitor IT systems and infrastructure for performance, outages, and security alerts

  • Respond to and resolve incidents via ticketing system, escalating when necessary

  • Assist with scheduled maintenance, updates, and system health checks

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and business applications

  • Maintain documentation of operational procedures, incidents, and resolutions

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during system outages or upgrades

  • Support onboarding and offboarding tasks, including provisioning and deprovisioning accounts


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, operations, or help desk environments

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory

  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and network basics

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot under pressure in a fast-paced, uptime-sensitive setting

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar are a plus

Salary Range

$56,000 – $72,000 annually, depending on experience, system knowledge, and certifications.
