The IT Field Support Technician is responsible for delivering on-site and remote technical support to multiple retail locations, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. You’ll handle equipment setup, troubleshoot issues in real time, and serve as the go-to tech expert for frontline staff and management across various sites.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for point-of-sale systems, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices

Perform installations, upgrades, and maintenance of IT equipment across assigned locations

Maintain inventory and track deployment of IT assets

Support end users with technical questions and train staff on proper equipment use

Coordinate with internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues

Document support activities, resolutions, and site visit details

Ensure all systems meet security standards and comply with internal IT policies
Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience

2+ years in a technical support or field technician role

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking

Experience supporting hardware in a retail, warehouse, or multi-site environment is a plus

Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to various company locations

IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are preferred

$52,000 – $68,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and travel requirements.
