The IT Desktop Analyst supports users across the organization by maintaining desktop environments, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring systems remain secure, efficient, and up to date. This role blends traditional end-user support with deeper technical responsibilities related to software deployment, asset management, and system optimization.
This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the financial technology services industry. It’s ideal for an experienced support professional who wants to move beyond basic help desk duties and play a more active role in workstation lifecycle management, automation, and enterprise IT support.
Responsibilities

Provide advanced support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices

Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and system performance issues

Assist with system imaging, software deployment, patch management, and upgrades

Maintain user accounts, security groups, and permissions via Active Directory

Manage and document IT assets, hardware inventory, and licensing records

Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure rollouts and end-user computing projects

Respond to escalated tickets and provide mentorship to junior support staff

Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and data security standards
Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field

2–4 years of experience in desktop support, IT operations, or systems administration

Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune)

Solid understanding of Active Directory, group policy, and network fundamentals

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL are a plus

Salary Range
$58,000 – $74,000 annually, depending on experience, technical skill set, and certification level.
