IT Customer Support Specialist

As an IT Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to internal users and external clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT-related issues. You’ll act as a liaison between the user and technical teams, helping troubleshoot problems, answer questions, and guide users through product functionality or system errors.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the logistics and supply chain management industry. The ideal candidate has a strong customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and the technical knowledge to support a range of systems and applications. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to users experiencing hardware, software, or system access issues

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system in a professional and timely manner

  • Troubleshoot problems related to desktops, mobile devices, applications, and cloud-based platforms

  • Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system

  • Escalate complex technical issues to Tier 2/3 support as needed

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of users, including account setup and hardware deployment

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, applications, and internal IT procedures

  • Help create user documentation and self-help resources


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or customer-facing technical roles

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and basic networking

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues logically and provide step-by-step guidance

  • Familiarity with remote support tools and help desk software

  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) are a plus

Salary Range

$48,000 – $63,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and customer service expertise.
