As an End-User Support Technician, you will be responsible for assisting staff, faculty, and students with day-to-day technology issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution of hardware, software, and network-related problems. You’ll support users in both remote and on-site environments, helping maintain a reliable and secure IT experience across classrooms, labs, and administrative offices.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to end users for computers, software, printers, and mobile devices

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system access, connectivity, and peripheral equipment

Assist with device setup, user onboarding, software installation, and basic training

Maintain and manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles using Active Directory

Document service requests, resolutions, and user interactions in a ticketing system

Support video conferencing, classroom technology, and remote learning tools

Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or specialists as needed

Ensure compliance with IT security and usage policies
Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience

1–3 years of experience in an end-user support, help desk, or desktop support role

Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and standard desktop support tools

Familiarity with Active Directory, networking basics, and remote support software

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a user-facing environment

IT certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, etc.) are a plus

Salary Range
$48,000 – $62,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical proficiency.
