CAD Drafter

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter for a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the renewable energy sector. This position plays a key role in supporting the design and implementation of clean energy solutions by producing clear, detailed, and accurate technical drawings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming engineering concepts into production-ready documents, contributing to the success of both small and large-scale projects.

As a CAD Drafter, you will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure all drawings meet industry standards and project specifications. Your work will directly impact the construction, installation, and maintenance of energy systems. Proficiency in drafting software, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and schematics based on engineering specifications and input

• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes and improvements

• Maintain drawing records and ensure adherence to project standards and timelines

• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete documentation

• Conduct field verification and incorporate real-world measurements into technical drawings

• Prepare documentation packages for permitting and compliance as required

• Assist with layout planning, material specifications, and document control

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in drafting, design technology, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in a CAD drafting role, preferably in construction, energy, or infrastructure

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into accurate technical drafts

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Knowledge of renewable energy systems or sustainability-focused projects is a plus

Salary Range

$50,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience and technical expertise.
