CAD Drafter

As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans that support the design, documentation, and construction of commercial buildings. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, you will transform sketches and specifications into clean, professional CAD documents that meet project standards and deadlines.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the commercial building design industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient with CAD software. Responsibilities

• Draft detailed 2D drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details

• Revise and update drawings based on redlines, markups, and design changes

• Interpret architectural and engineering sketches and notes for accurate documentation

• Coordinate CAD files with multiple disciplines and maintain version control

• Follow established drafting standards, templates, and protocols

• Assist in preparing drawing sets for permits, construction, and client review

• Organize and maintain project file structures and documentation archives

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Architecture, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in a CAD drafting role, preferably in architecture or construction

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus

• Basic understanding of building systems and construction documentation

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

• Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards is a plus

Salary Range

$50,000 – $66,000 annually, depending on experience, technical proficiency, and project exposure.
