As a BIM Technician, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Building Information Models (BIM) to support structural engineering projects from design through construction. Using tools like Revit and AutoCAD, you’ll create coordinated 3D models, produce construction documentation, and support multi-disciplinary collaboration across architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the structural engineering consulting industry. The ideal candidate brings strong technical drafting skills, experience with BIM workflows, and a solid understanding of building systems and construction documentation. Your role will be key in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and integration across all phases of design.
Responsibilities

Create and manage 3D BIM models for structural systems using Revit

Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, and details

Coordinate models with architectural and MEP disciplines to detect and resolve conflicts

Maintain and implement BIM standards across projects

Assist in producing submittal packages and permit documentation

Update models based on design revisions, field changes, and engineering markups

Support team collaboration through consistent file organization and data management
Qualifications

Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent training in Drafting, BIM, or a related field

2+ years of experience working in a BIM or CAD technician role

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with AutoCAD

Understanding of structural systems and basic engineering concepts

Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is a plus

Salary Range
$55,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience, software proficiency, and project background.
