Architectural CAD Drafter

As an Architectural CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed construction drawings and documentation for residential building projects. Working closely with architects and designers, you’ll translate conceptual designs and sketches into technical plans that guide permitting, client review, and construction processes.

The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD drafting, understands residential building systems, and has a strong eye for detail. Responsibilities

• Create and modify architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD or Revit

• Interpret sketches, design notes, and markups from architects to develop construction documents

• Ensure compliance with residential building codes and zoning regulations

• Revise drawings based on design updates, client feedback, and field changes

• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and site plans

• Maintain organized drawing sets, templates, and standards throughout the design process

• Assist in preparing submittals for permits and client presentations

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Architectural Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience drafting in an architectural or residential design setting

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus

• Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and codes

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Good communication and team collaboration skills

Salary Range

$50,000 – $68,000 annually, depending on experience, software proficiency, and project portfolio.
