Architectural CAD Designer

We are hiring an Architectural CAD Designer for a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the commercial real estate development industry. This role is ideal for a design professional who is passionate about architecture and skilled in creating precise technical drawings that bring concepts to life.

As an Architectural CAD Designer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings in support of architectural and design teams. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and engineers to ensure drawings meet all design standards, code requirements, and project goals. This position plays a vital role in helping projects move from concept to completion with accuracy and visual clarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural drawings and 3D models for commercial and mixed-use projects

• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into technical drawings for permitting and construction

• Update and revise drawings to reflect changes in design, materials, and code compliance

• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all drawing sets and design documentation

• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems

• Maintain CAD standards and contribute to process improvements

• Support project submittals, including presentation boards and permit sets

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related field

• 2–4 years of experience in architectural drafting and design

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software

• Knowledge of architectural standards, building codes, and construction documentation

• Strong spatial awareness and technical drafting skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• Experience with 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Lumion, etc.) is a plus

Salary Range

$60,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience and design proficiency.
