Keeping critical business applications running smoothly is at the core of the Application Support Analyst role. You’ll serve as the go-to expert for troubleshooting software issues, supporting end users, and coordinating with development teams to resolve bugs and system errors. This role ensures that business operations remain uninterrupted and users are empowered with the tools they need.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support for business-critical software applications

Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, application errors, and performance problems

Act as a liaison between end users and development or vendor teams for issue resolution

Assist with system updates, patches, and testing of new features

Document issues, solutions, and processes in the support knowledge base

Train users on new applications or features and ensure proper onboarding support

Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement

Collaborate on long-term enhancements, configurations, and integration efforts
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

2–4 years of experience in application support, business systems, or IT help desk roles

Familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or industry-specific platforms

Understanding of databases, basic SQL queries, and application logs

Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills

Experience with ticketing systems and support workflows

Certifications in ITIL, application support, or business systems are a plus

Salary Range
$60,000 – $78,000 annually, depending on experience, application expertise, and technical proficiency.
