3D CAD Modeler

As a 3D CAD Modeler, you will be responsible for creating highly accurate 3D models of mechanical and structural components used in aerospace applications. Working closely with engineers and design teams, you will translate technical concepts, sketches, and requirements into detailed digital models that support product development, analysis, and manufacturing.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the aerospace engineering industry. The ideal candidate is proficient in advanced modeling software, has a strong understanding of mechanical design and spatial visualization, and enjoys contributing to complex, high-performance systems. Your work will play a key role in developing parts and assemblies that meet rigorous safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed 3D CAD models for components, assemblies, and tooling

• Translate engineering sketches and specifications into manufacturable 3D designs

• Ensure that all models meet dimensional accuracy and tolerance requirements

• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility

• Maintain and organize CAD files with proper version control and documentation

• Assist in preparing visualization renderings and technical illustrations for review and presentations

• Follow industry standards and project-specific guidelines for modeling and design

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling, preferably in the aerospace or high-precision industries

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or Creo

• Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes

• Familiarity with GD&T and design for manufacturability (DFM) practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Experience with simulation, rendering, or visualization tools is a plus

Salary Range

$60,000 – $82,000 annually, depending on experience, industry background, and software expertise.
