Job Description for Data Architect

About the Role:
The Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing data solutions to support business objectives. This role involves creating data models, defining data architecture, and ensuring data integrity across various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and robust data architectures to support business needs.
  • Create and maintain data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and integrate data solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices and governance policies.
  • Oversee data migration, data warehousing, and ETL processes to ensure efficient data management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on data-related issues.
  • Monitor and optimize data performance, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Modeler, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques.
