Civil CAD Drafter

As a Civil CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing detailed site plans, grading layouts, utility designs, and roadway drawings to support civil engineering projects. You’ll work directly with engineers and project managers to develop construction documents that meet regulatory standards and project specifications.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client in the land development and municipal engineering industry. The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD software, familiar with civil design standards, and able to produce accurate and organized drawings in a fast-paced environment. Your work will play a vital role in shaping infrastructure and land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft civil site plans, grading and drainage layouts, roadway alignments, and utility systems

• Update and revise drawings based on redlines, field data, and engineering feedback

• Interpret survey data, field notes, and design specifications for use in drafting

• Coordinate with project teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in all drawings

• Maintain organized drawing files, templates, and project documentation

• Assist in the preparation of construction document sets and permit submittals

• Follow local, state, and federal drafting standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Civil Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience drafting in a civil engineering or land development environment

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software

• Understanding of site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems

• Familiarity with surveying data and civil engineering documentation

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications

Salary Range

$54,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience, technical skills, and software proficiency.
